Local shows lead to some great music.Mury has been one of the great bands that have passed trough where I live. They bring a bit of spunk to the dull music scene. From the second I heard these guys hit the stage I was rather impressed. Although they could be playing bigger better stages than the little ratty old stage that graces a building that is falling apart. It gives the few dedicated show goers in the area a bit of a reason to keep going.I feel rather lucky to say i saw them twice in a month. So to learn a little bit more about the band and the inspiration behind them I asked Jay to fill out a little survey! So here it is:
*Where are you guys from?
Salt Lake City, Utah. The 801 baby.
* How many band memebers and what are your names?
4 members who are actually in the band. but 5 members total who make it work.

*How long have you guys been a band?
The first day we ever played together as a band was March 13th 2007
*Does the bands name have a specific meaning to you guys?
Absolutely. It represents where we are from. A suburb of Salt Lake City but spelled differently to create something unique from something familiar.
*Whats the most memorable thing that has happened to you guys as a band?
A kid in Idaho got some Mury Lyrics tattooed on his arm. That's pretty intense.
*Do you like touring?
Thats the best part.
*Wheres your favorite place to say play?
Its hard to chose just one city. I love anywhere in the North West cause its so beautiful. Shows are always fun in idaho, Vegas, Wyoming, and of course Salt Lake City.
*What band(s) have been your favorite to tour with?
We became very close friends with Paper Mache from Spokane WA and Broke City from our home town.
*Was Tarot card prophecy the bands first Cd?
Yes. We recorded it after being a band for 5 weeks.
*Some more random facts about the Cd Tarot card prophecy.pleaase?
We all hate the picture behind the CD and when we get the second run pressed that will not be there.
*Where did some of the inspiration for Mury come from? (bands,people,life, etc...)
All of the above. We are all inspired from different areas of our lives. We all listen to different music, play different instruments, and interact with many different friends and family and we take inspiration from everyone we interact with.
*Is there any BIG PLANS ahead of you guys?
